Greatness defined...
Following the work of Howard Glasser*, our program is driving forward with a new vision, a new pursuit- that being one of 'Greatness'. The breadth and depth of this word for us includes so many things, most of which have been defined by the students in our classroom. These include DOING THE BEST AT WHATEVER ONE IS DOING, BEING GRATEFUL, INDUSTRIOUS, GOING BEYOND THE NORMAL- ABOVE AVERAGE, DOING THE RIGHT THING...NO MATTER WHAT, GOING BEYOND YOUR FULL EXTENT, HAPPINESS, OPTIMISM, BRAVERY,
HELPING/HELPFUL, NICE/KIND, SELF-CONFIDENT, DEITY, NOBILITY, GOOD LEADER, DOING THE RIGHT THING, BEING RESPECTFUL AND HONEST, POSITIVE SELF-TALK, AWESOMENESS, SHARING, PROTECTIVE, LOYAL, FRIENDLY, RESPECTABLE AND RESPECTFUL, STRATEGIC AND INTELLIGENT, HAVING SYMPATHY & EMPATHY, SHOWING LEADERSHIP AND RESPONSIBILITY, BEING DILIGENT/NOT GIVING UP, HAVING HIGH MORAL VALUES, SHOWING RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS, AND BEING WILLING TO COLLABORATE. There are so many more but we believe this to be a great start.
